I was waiting for this to come out, and it is sooo cool!! My favorite NEW animal is the Goblin Shark, which is a mysterious benthic denzian. I love creating shows, although training the animals is tedious and sometimes animals get put in crates after shows. The only other problem is that whale sharks come as adolecents and "grow up into adults later". I have a zoo that's on its 2nd year, and NONE of the sharks got bigger. Also, don't put too many marlins in a tank, as they have a lot of babies ;) The small tanks, touch pool, and the marine music rock are a few of my favorite decorations. The ability to create koi ponds is cool, but they have to be big and if you're puting them into a tank, be sure it's a turtle or something like that. I am saddend that you can no longer purchase mermaids, but I do love the false killer whales and the leather back sea turtles. (IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND HAVE THE ORIGIONAL MARINE MANIA, PUT MERMAID STATUES INTO YOUR TANKS!!) Overall, a VERY, VERY good game. --2006-12-09 This game is a total must-have to your Zoo Tycoon 2 collection! Animals: All-new animals, including turtles, manta rays, sharks, and show animals such as sea lions, orcas, bottlenose dolphins, and balugas, just to name a few. The wonderful tank building is a great addition. Easy to learn, fun to make, and great for for the Sea-World builder in you. My favorites: My most favorite part in the game is creating the shows. It's really cool to try and create a five-star show. My favorite trick is the wave, where bottlenose dolphins and other animals wave. My other favorite trick is where the sea lion rides on a swing. My favorite animal has to be the Californian Sea Lion. They're just adorable with those little whiskers! A wonderful game for all ages. So much fun! --2006-11-21 I own all of the Zoo Tycoon games. I couldn't wait for Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine mania to come out. On the day it came out, I rushed to the store and bought the last one!When I came home I installed it and started playing. There were lots of cool animals like dolphins, turtles, sharks and lots of cool plants too! The aquatic shows were really fun to make, and you can make huge aquatic tanks! If you like aquatic animals you should totally buy it! I hope this review was helpful to you. --2006-11-10 Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania is probably the best expansion yet. I enjoyed the first Zoo Tycoon and its expansions and when Zoo Tycoon 2 came out, I enjoyed it even more. Now you can have marine animals and that was what fans were campaigning for. You can now train dolphins and other animals yourself (although it gets harder). If you find it too hard, you can hire a trainer to do it for you. All in all, it's a great game and a must buy. --2006-10-29 I'm a huge fan of Zoo Tycoon & I've bought all the expansions. I absolutely couldn't wait for Marine Mania because that was my favorite in the original Zoo Tycoon. It was well worth the wait. Of course I'd like more scenarios but with the 9 additional that's what I've come to expect out of expansions. This expansion features has 20 marine animals (whales, dolphins, rays, sharks, otters & then some) + the ability to train & put on shows with some of the animals. The shows are pretty neat & it's fun to be able to swim with the animals. With the plants & rocks in the tank it looks pretty realistic. when you're in the tanks.
