This sporty travel system looks like a sophisticated European model but is actually made by Graco, a U.S. company that Moms and Dads have come to trust for reliable baby gear. Vastly different from the companys other stroller designs, the Mosaic stroller has a curved aluminum frame that is both sturdy and stylish plus "ski pole"-style handles with padded grips. Babys safety and comfort is, of course, still tantamount and this stroller has a combination 3-point or 5-point harness and a reclining seat that adjusts with one hand. An optional cupholder attachment is available for parents who like to drink coffee on the go and a padded arm bar may also be added for adults who are used to having something to lean on. This stroller also has swiveling front wheels that easily maneuver around obstacles and an average-sized mesh storage basket below the seat. The Mosaic stroller closes pretty easily into a 3-dimensional fold, which makes it skinnier rather than flatter. Lifting the stroller, however, proves it to be a bit heavier than expected. The car seat/carrier component of this travel system is Gracos award-winning SnugRide model, an already perfected design that most families are familiar with. The SnugRide has a secure 5-point harness with an adjustable chest clip and a padded infant head support that is removable. This carrier locks into the included LATCH-equipped car seat base or the stroller or may just be carried with baby nestled inside.
This travel system comes in the Summit pattern, which combines pin-dotted black-and-white mesh with solid black and blue cotton fabrics. The stroller supports toddlers up to 40 pounds and the car seat contains infants up to 22 pounds and 29 inches long. --Cristina Vaamonde
