  • dissapointingly weak 2005-05-23 (cd deserves 0 stars, dvd deserves 2 stars)

I've been listening to kmk for well over 5 years now, and i have all of their albums and play them often. They had never disapointed me until this 'album'. When I first saw an advertisement for this cd/dvd, I kind of frowned. I didn't know quite what to expect. Luckily my birthday was around the corner because I didn't really want to buy it until I hear some of it and knew it wasnt bad. I did get it for my birtday, and when I first put it on I decided to preview the cd by listening to the first couple of tracks.. I was confused and couldnt really grasp what it was, and decided not to judge it until I watched the film. After watching it, all I had was a headache. I am one to trip, but instead of 'trippy' I found it to be very cliche, and a bad attempt to get some extra cash. I was astonished that the kings would promote it and let it be released, I read the credits and they werent even involved in the (poorly done and annoying) remixing at all! In my opinion thats kind of a sell out move.. Although I do dig the tracks I've heard from "No.7", and i do realize that artists change and mature, it's still sad for old school kmk fans to see their beloved band change up the style they grew to love so much. Don't buy this garbage, the dvd isn't even worth it. If you want some good kmk, go pick up high society or rollin stoned, you'll get hooked.
whoa 2005-01-16 I am a big kottonmouth kings fan but not a big fan of the remix. I would have to say that the cd is ok...BUT I love the dvd that comes with it because it is trippier than the bag of mushrooms i ate before watching it!!!
Down for the Krown 2004-12-29 I have every KMK album since the first Hidden Stash, and I have to say that this remix CD is an excellent recap of everything from Royal Highness to Fire It Up. Even though the only sample from Royal Highness is (oh Lord its a Dogs life), it still makes the CD rock. i just got the CD in the mail over an hour ago, and it rocks fo-real!!! I cant wait for the next KMK album to come out in 2005 Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Sub Noize Souljahs album.
Visual Brain Fry 2004-11-21 The underground has spoke, and spoke like it eat a bag of shrooms and gave us couple caps and there is the Experience, a trippy, visual brain fry, that expands on classic hits, its a twist on all of the classic hits that marks the years of the kings, the kottonmouth kings are livin legends, and the continue to conquer quest that almost seemed impossible, this is deftinaly a fun party record to just get blazed and sit back and listen, like it says inside the cd roll up a fatty kick back and listen to it, tell your friends everyone needs to know about this one of a kind band that never forgets about its fans unlike all the mainstream bands, all of the songs will leave u wanting more and more, the Visual DVD will leave your brain feeling fried, but nothing changes, lets all kick back smoke a fatty, legalize tha plant, free tha plant G
