I got this blender for my 4-year-old son (we actually got different, but similar, toaster/mixer sets from a discount chain store, but they didn't have a blender). He has been playing with it almost non-stop since I gave it to him. We haven't tried any play food in it yet, but we have poured in a little water and turned it on. The water doesn't seem to have damaged the toy in any way. At least not yet. My son has had fun making Mommy "milkshakes." And is really trying to learn to pour without spilling. We're still working on that. But the blender is cute and easy to use. My 1-year-old daughter also likes to turn on the blender. Just wish it came with something more to use with the blender.

My 2 1/2 year old son got this(and the toaster and mixer) to go with his Little Tykes kitchen. He absolutely LOVES blening "smoothies". We have fake strawberries that he blends up non-stop! The blender can get stuck, but he quickly learned to simply shake the blender to dislodge the berries. I highly recommend all 3 'Just like Home' appliances. The toaster really "toasts" and the mixer is so much fun!

My daughter received this blender and matching mixer for her 2nd birthday. We were a little worried about the real working parts, my hubby and performed our own tests throwing in all kinds of toys, food, fingers in it, no casualties!
She absolutely loves these toys, always pretending to mix up a cake or make a milkshake just like mommy. My daughter just loves playing with these, and honestly she's got a shorten attention span than most. These toys are durable and a great price for amount of play!
