  • REAL ROCK all the way through! 2005-10-26 First off, this trio does not SOUND like only 3 musicians. The sound is deep, rich, and smooth - I am an AVID music listener (especially hard rock) and am VERY picky what I buy. This is one of the few Cd's I've bought recently where I like EVERY track!
    I REALLY LOVE THIS COLLECTION.
Realy Worth Buying!! 2005-10-25 I personally think you should buy this cd. I especially like the opening song, the CLincher. Some of the other songs include: get some, leading us along(vitamin r),tug of war, panic prone, and all of the rest. Buy this cd now....
Chevelle Rocks, Sony Bites 2005-10-14 Just got a copy of "This Type of Thinking..." and as expected the album rocked. The major problem is that Sony decided to employ some serious DRM stuff that prevents the CD from being ripped, and may not even play in some CD players. Personally, I _only_ listen to music in MP3 format so I was forced to go illegal and download the entire album via p2p just so I could listen to it. I love Chevelle and want to see them suceed, but until Sony decides to quite selling products that don't even do what they are supposed to, I personally won't be buying anymore Sony/BMG music and encourage others to do the same.
Wonder What's Next...Taken Down A Notch 2005-10-11 I bought this cd out of chance. I needed some new music to listen to, something heavy, something good. I purchased this and never looked back. It really blew me away, along with Chevelle's other two cd's which are great too. It's a little less heavy than Wonder What's Next, but doesn't lack the emotion.

1.The Clincher 9.5/10...This is definitely a fan favorite, and for good reason. This song is very emotional and heavy when it needs to be. Very very good.
2.Get Some 10/10...Not too many people seem to like this song. I love it. The bridge in the middle is tremendous..and this song rocks..drags on a little though.
3.Vitamin R 8.5/10...I'm afraid this suffers 'The Red Syndrome'. Great when you first hear it, and you absolutely love it, but then it's worn out until you don't want to hear it anymore. I still do love it.
4.Still Running 8/10...Although heavy, this song kind of bores me...nothing too special.
5.Breach Birth 9/10...Reminds me a bit of Vitamin R, this was one of my favorites when i first got the cd.
6.Panic Prone 9.5/10...The cd's newest hit..and i knew it would be. One of Chevelle's most melodic songs, i really like it.
7.Another Know It All 8.5/10...Right after Panic Prone finishes you get a kick in the face with this one. The first 20 seconds or so is about as heavy as Chevelle can get. Uses a double bass..the rest of the song is good too.
8.Tug-O-War 8/10...This is where the cd wears down a tad bit. This song kind of gets lost in the shuffle...sounds alot like a regular Chevelle song, which isn't bad by any means.
9.To Return 8.5/10...This is almost lost in the shuffle along with the previous..but not quite. This song is very emotional..but sometimes a bit dry.
10.Emotional Drought 9/10...After the album's slight decline..it is picked back up in a major way with this one. It's a very long song, and features Pete's best screaming on the whole cd. Love this song.
11.Bend The Bracket 10/10...An all out acoustic like One Lonely Visitor..but this one beats out that..and i absolutely love this song.

Buy it. Very good stuff, and it's not just simple 00's rock, it's better than alot of the stuff out today.
I HEART CHEVELLE 2005-10-11 Hard to believe three brothers could get along so well to make such a complex album of contrasting subjects and lyrics. It is amazing the talents bands have when you can look at them with their own sense of uniqueness without having to compare them to others. You know what I mean?

But this album is great, wonderful, and all that goody talk. I cant diss it one bit and I wont. I have nothing but positive light to shine on these people. I kind of do 'Wonder What's Next,' after getting a good listen to this. I listen to these songs everyday on my computer in my media file and they are on repeat constantly. I suggest you buy this and worship it forever coz Chevelle is a hot band that isnt getting the respect and recognition they do deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
