Have the producers ever failed us.........lately

They must release the TV episodes on DVD. I grew up watching this show..many times! The show hasn't grown up. That is, it hasn't aged. We watch it now and, even though we know what's coming, we still laugh at the jokes. There are so many one-liners, so many scenes, so many characters that are classics. Maybe it should be curriculum material in all schools.
I hate to say it but, with the death of Don Adams at 82 (I can only picture him as eternally 42 years old) hopefully the inconsiderate owners of the show will be encouraged to release the series. Every cloud has a silver lining and this would be a fitting tribute to Don.
I hope I wasn't out of line with the crack about inconsiderate!
Get Smart

It was a classic tv movie and it was shipped to me quickly. I really enjoyed it.
I MUST HAVE "GET SMART" THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES!
2005-05-03
In my search to find it on DVD, I went to a store I was told about and the kid at the store had to guess what "Get Smart" was! TV? What is wrong with today's youth! Hey, there was a guy in line about my age that also remarked how great the show was.
I have seen every episode of "Get Smart" along with my family. "Get Smart" is part of our culture! We LOVE this show! We quote this tv show all the time and it gives us great pleasure to do so. I mean, how many times does "Camp Gitchie Goomie Noonie Wa Wa" with Siegfried's accent come into your conversation?! Or, to Max's dog that only understood German, "Nimmt die Bomb!" "If Kubecek is here, Tamara will go into the dance of the 7 veils, if he's at the 1st table, she'll take off 1 veil, if she's at the 2nd table, she'll take off 2 veils, and so on and so on." Max, "What if he's at table 7?" "Then the cops come in and close the place down!"
C'mon, we got to get this on DVD! How many times can I vote? There are too many great one liners from this tv show. I hope there are others that are ready to join the cult following or revival for this great tv show!
WE WANT GET SMART ORIGINAL TV SERIES!!!

I teach at a community college, and this year, NOT ONE of my students knew "Get Smart". What is the owner waiting for, all of the original audience to get too old to see the TV? I would buy a DVD player if the original series came out. If anyone knows who owns the rights, post it, so we can all buy stock and pressure the brainless CEO holding up the show.
Fans of the show will love this movie

It's 1989, and the United States government finds itself being blackmailed by that evil organization KAOS. There's only one man that can foil the machinations of KAOS, and that is decommissioned agent 86, Maxwell Smart (played by Don Adams). Once Smart has rounded up all of the old CONTROL agents, he and his wacky crew are in pursuit of KAOS and their old nemesis Conrad Siegfried (Bernie Kopell). But, KAOS has a new and unknown "Mr. Big." Who is he, and what does he want? It is up to Max to get to the bottom of this tangled web!
Well, I must say, it was very nice to see this movie, with so many of the old Get Smart regulars! There's Max, Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon), Siegfried, Hymie (Richard Gautier), Larrabee (Robert Karvelas), Shtarker (King Moody), Agent 13 (the agent who's always hiding in things - David Ketchum), and even Max's car. As for the movie itself, I recognized a lot of the old jokes, but the show itself recycled them all so many times that it was just like old times.
My family and I enjoyed watching this movie, and I loved seeing the old CONTROL crew (minus the Chief, Edward Platt, who passed away in 1974). So, if you were a fan of the old 1965-70 American television show, "Get Smart," then you will love this move. My family and I highly recommend it to you.
