The Austin Air Allergy Junior utilizes both the HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) and HEGA (High Efficiency Gas Absorption) air filters to produce an effective combination of filtration to alleviate bothersome allergic flare-ups. The HEGA 2.1 is exclusive to Austins products, and is specifically engineered for durability and effective relief of coughing, sneezing, nasal congestion, dry or watery eyes, and many other allergy symptoms.

How does it work? The key to the Air Allergy Junior consists of two integrated filters that effectively screen out dust particles, pet dander, pollen, and other allergens as air moves through the machine. An advanced backward curved blower draws air through a durable 360 degree perforated steel air intake, and is channeled to the dual filters, which capture 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns. When the air moves through the carbon cloth filter, it eliminates unwanted odors caused by animals, cooking, smoke, and chemicals. The unique weave of the carbon cloth filter reduces dust while increasing the surface area, helping the filter perform more efficiently, weigh less, and last longer. The Austin Air Allergy Junior does not produce ozone, ions, or negative ions that can be dangerous to those with respiratory problems like asthma and emphysema.
