The all purpose purse
2004-10-12
The Sak Small Marlboro Classic's bag is nearly perfect. The size is comfortable, being neither too large, nor too small; it's able to accomodate a paperback novel, a few cosmetic items, a small wallet, and has just enough room left-over for various other neccessities.
There are internally sewn card slots as well an an inner, zippered pocket, and a cellphone holder (or in my particular case, a mini iPod compartment). The front of the purse supports an almost useless pocket, visually pleasing, yet suitable only for small (thin) knick-knacks or paper items.
Nice product features are the two thick, metal O-rings that support a heavy, 22 inch strap, making it perfect for crossbody carrying. From a textural perspective, the Sak's patented weave crochet and contrasting leather trim/strap work very well together. Not only is the look informal and fun, but it's physically durable as well (able to withstand the daily abuse I inflict upon it, at least). As a consumer-oriented side-note, the purse is available in an assortment of colors, providing an eye pleasing selection that should cater to nearly all tastes.
This purse is aesthetic, practical, and idyllic for day-to-day use.
