Since they first appeared as Fisher-Price action figures, Rescue Heroes have been heralded for their courage, cool under pressure, and non-violent problem-solving, earning an animated TV show and a subsequent line of videos. For example, Gil Gripper, sporting a detachable helmet connected to an oxygen hose, spends his days saving swimmers, sailors, and folks who've fallen out of capsized boats. He's assisted by Goggles, a watercraft that resembles a giant, green duck. Pressing a button propels Goggles forward to the sound of grinding gears and motors; it works pretty well as long as the flippers are all lined up properly.
