Customer Reviews:
do not buy it Unless the water is not for drinking. It is efficient, but the water tastes strange and looks yellowish. The water might not be good for health though you can tell no difference if make tea and coffee. --2006-12-16Cheap and efficient pros: cheap, boils water quite rapidly(a few minutes), holds about 6 cups of water.
cons: can only boil water, no setting to keep the water boiling for a longer period of time(eg. to kill certain waterborne organisms you need to keep it at boiling for a few minutes), no magnetic power cord connection --2006-12-13Water smells like plastic I bought this electric kettle and while it did heat water very quickly, once I opened the lid the whole pot of water reeked of plastic. Needless to say, the water was not drinkable.
I don't know if I was stuck with a bad unit but I would not recommend this electric kettle. Buyer beware. --2006-11-22Awesome! Perfect! As a tea lover for 30 years, I have to say this electric kettle is the best one in terms of cost-benefit and performance. I've used this kettle for more than 1 year and it's still working perfectly. It boils water very quickly and keeps warm for a while. A+! --2006-11-15Good, Cheap, with one small reservation My only reservation is for safety sake, it would probably be better to get the version that is wireless, because when you fill this in the sink you must be very careful not to get the electrical prong that connects to the cord wet. --2006-11-15
