Best set of blocks, comparable to Pottery Barn block set!

Initially I wanted to buy the wooden block set from Pottery Barn, however they were too expensive and I couldn't convince my husband to agree on the purchase. I searched this site and then visited the Toys R Us store to compare all the sets before buying. This set is of similar size and quality as the Pottery Barn set, but with much brighter colors and more interesting pictures! These blocks are definitely better than the small 1" ABC blocks sold on this site and a better value for your dollar.
My son has been playing with them practically everyday for the past few months and his play has really evolved from just stacking, to naming pictures on the blocks, to recognizing letters, and even asking others to play with him!
The blocks do have some nicks on them since they have been played with, but the pictures have not gathered any fading, peeling, or damage since we've had them. The wooden box has held up great for storing the set and my son often uses the box as a foundation for his building since blocks don't stack well on carpet. Also, the box is strong enough to withstand a 30 pound toddler standing on top of it!
From now on every birthday party we go to for a one or two year old, they will be receiving this set of blocks as one of their gifts from our family. At $20 for the set it's a great present!

We just bought them for our 20-month daughter, and we love them. I can't think of anything about them that I don't like. They are just the right weight~not too heavy but not too light. The colors and pictures are neat. The carrying case is nice, too. Would highly recommend them.

My 18month old son loves these blocks...I had bought him the peek a boo blocks and he never stacked them or did anything but throw. These blocks colors and pictures are wonderful and help me with his language by giving me ideas. We make storys up with the blocks, stack them...these really are wonderful. Heirloom quality...Made to last through the years. I will put these in is Hope chest for his child.

My two-year old daughter loves these blocks! They are easy to stack, the picture doesn't rub off and they are of good quality wood. I love them because they are very colorful, unlike other blocks and they make cleaning up easy. They have a wooden box with handles that the blocks easily fit in so my daughter can put them away easily. Well done product!
