If she's already been a veterinarian, a beauty queen, an astronaut, and an Olympic gymnast, it only makes sense that Barbie should have a chance to be a concert pianist as well. But this particular piano is not built for the tiny doll that has everything; it's made for kids. A relatively simple affair (surprisingly so, given the intricacy and grandeur of the Barbie universe), this pink wooden piano features 30 keys all of which make a satisfying "plink" sound while not overwhelming the whole house with volume. It's no substitute for an actual piano of course, no matter what Schroeder from Peanuts might say, but as a toy designed to cultivate an interest in music and consume considerably less space and expense than the real thing, it's a nice option. --Charlie Williams
