Lets just say I am glad this works very well, because I don't think my wife was going to get rid of the dog! It is very quiet but of course it has a fan so you will be able to hear the unit. I also tried the Surrond Air XJ-300C and the Biozon is 100 times better, even though it does not have teh HEPA filter.
