The original "Yu-Gi-Oh" for ALL ages
2005-11-26
I bought my 6 year old some Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Too expensive ($12.99 starter set)... and you only get enough for one player. I couldn't believe how complicated the rules are. I remembered having Top Trump cards when I was a kid back in England so I went searching to see if they're still available. I was surprised to find how huge they still are in England but are so difficult to find in the U.S.
EVERY kids back in the '70s & '80's had Top Trump cards. No compicated rules to learn like Yu-Gi-OH. Pocket money priced.
I guess I'm going to have to buy online from the UK if I want more variety.
Great Great learning game.

Top Trumps is absolutely huge in England for a reason. It is addicting. Not only is it similar to war. It is better than war. You actually get to choose which part of your card you will use to fight the opponent. So instead of just saying oh you king beat my queen. You look at your card and say oh this guy is really tall, so I bet my guys height will beat your guy's height. This game really shines when you get educational topic tops trumps like animal preditors or space objects. This is a brilliant rivia game that requires no prior knowlege. [...] harry potter, Sharks, soccer teams, space objects, jets, super cars. Get this game. But do yourself a favor and get some of the educational decks.
My 9 and 7 year olds love it

I bought this for my 9 year old after she begged and begged. Apparently it's all the rage during recess. She and my 7 year old now play it in the car all the time. They love it. A lot of use for a little money.
HORRIBLE
