Advil chewable tablets in grape flavor 2004-11-27 I decided since my oldest son was turning eight that I would look for another chewable aspirin product that was more suited to his age bracket. Since we had yet to try one in the Advil line of products, I chose to purchase Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets in the grape flavor. There are twenty-four tablets in the carton, which is wider and smaller than the other products we have tried in the past.

Designed specifically for ages 6-11 in either fruit or grape flavor, especially for those headaches and toothaches that this age group experiences. The pills are large, but do last eight hours.

Once you have pressed those you turn the cap completely to unscrew it. When placing the cap back on top you will need to turn it all the way around until you hear a snap indicating that it is safely closed.

With chewable tablets I tend to give my son half the dosage and wait to see if he complains thirty minutes later. This conserves the small supply they tend to have in these products, plus he does not have to chew as many tablets each time. It is important to note that the dosage is totally different with the Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets. I noticed that my son's weight was in the next age bracket, but since that meant a half tablet we just went with two tablets.

One dose is stated to last for 6-8 hours and each time my son has taken a dose he has not needed a second dose later on in the day or evening. He did not balk at the grape taste and was happy to only have to take two tablets. The taste was not too bad since he made no noises or gestures as he was chewing or afterwards!

My son has taken the Advil Junior Strength Chewable Tablets for toothaches and headaches thus far. It is easier to dole out with fewer tablets for him to endure, the taste is pleasant and the tablet seems to be extra safe proof. The price is a bit more than I have paid for the other products, but worth the extra buck or two.
