The Sony Network Color Camera with Built-In Web Server (SNCVL10P) is an IP network camera for the Broadband Network era. Incorporating a built-in web server and a 1/3 type CCD with Super HAD technology, the SNC-VL10P is ideal for remote monitoring applications (production lines and web attractions) and general IT applications (weather, tourism and webcasting). This network camera will also appeal to telecom companies and ISP/ASP providers.
With its networking capability, this camera provides significant advantages over traditional camera systems, including easy and flexible installation with a user-friendly web browser GUI (Graphic User Interface). The SNC-VL10P is compatible with a variety of networks such as Ethernet, XDSL, cable modem and PSTN. Images captured by the SNC-VL10P are encoded into Wavelet-format signals with high compression rates (ideal for network transmission) and are then transmitted as high-quality digital images over a network. Users can monitor live images from anonymous client PCs at any location and at any time by using popular web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. The SNC-VL10P also enables alarm-data transmission. Its functions include activity detection, a single sensor input and two sensor outputs.
