We just love these things and always keep some in our diaper bag for our twins.They really stay put and stick right to the table. We've also used them at friend's houses, just make sure it's ok to stick the adhesive on the table.

these are the best thing in the world to have if you dine out a lot!! my sister got these when my neice was able to dine out. and when i had my daughter, that's the first thing i bought along with the floppy. some restaurants look like they've never clean the tables with a new rag, so these are great to have. however sometimes you have to distract your child to not pull it off the table. if i were to make one suggestion, i'd put the sticky strips on all four sides. that way the little children couldn't rip them off the table. i wouldn't ever leave home without having at least 2 in my diaper bag!! i love them!
Won't stay in place & overpriced

The two adhesive strips on the bottom of these don't cut it. There is clearly a need to protect baby from coming in contact with the table top but for our money we prefer the WrapAround placemats from www.classy-kid.com. They have four adhesive strips and extra area to wrap around the front edge of the table.
