The Navy SEALs (Sea, Air, Land) are one of the most respected commando units in the United States military. Formed by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, the SEALs have played a strategic role in missions all over the world.
- The SEALs are most known for their grueling training and dedication. However, it's their success on missions both reported and unreported that has gained them a reputation as an effective elite force. 'Takedown' missions are highly complex, dangerous raids that require a tremendous amount of training and acquired skills in order to execute with perfection.
- Focusing specifically on hostage and terrorist situations, the SEALs are trained to conduct short-notice, secret, small unit missions mostly at night from the air, sea or land in hazardous conditions. The emphasis of the rescue missions is to be able to secretly enter hostile territory and extract the hostages. This G.I.JOE is awesome!!! His M-14 is really detailed and so is the rest of his gear. I love to add extra weapons to his arsenal and then he looks ready to take on a country. Everything is great but the cord on his radio is too long and some parts are easy to lose. But I love to play with him.

Hasbro did a great amount of detail on him,his M-14 sniper rifle, and his equipment.Although a take down team member in the field would not wear this type of clothing.Being a Navy Seal myself I would know, wouldn'tI?
