The Lorex DM-1440 4-port Digital Monitoring System lets you easily turn your PC into a video security monitoring system. The Lorex capture card and DMRS application software allows you to view up to four locations simultaneously on your PC to monitor and protect your business, office, or home. By loading the software on a second PC, you can also access the camera image remotely for total security protection. The DM-1440 system supports most any feature your camera(s) might possess. If movement is detected when using a motion sensor, an alarm will sound to alert you of potential trouble. The DM-1440 also allows you to program your system so that it automatically calls the telephone, cell phone, or pager number which you have designated, or this system can digitally record the event pictures to your PC's hard drive. Utilizing the JPEG format plus a proprietary algorithm, the four-port video capture card in the DM-1440 system allows you to view video with 320 by 240 pixels in high color (16 bit) per window, at a frame rate of five frames per second (frames per second). Additionally, the DM-1440 can save video at four frames per second, and can transmit video at one frames per second via a 33,600 bps (bits per second) modem or four frames per second via an Ethernet network connection.
