  • TU AMOR A TU DESPRECIO 2003-10-03 Marco Antonio Solis is my favoire singer of all time.
    I don't speak Spanish, but I have 6 of his cd's
This new cd is wonderful, I love it
Awsome cd 2003-05-27 This is only my second cd from Marco Antonio Solis. The first cd I got was Trozos De Me Alma. His 4th cd is awsome like his third cd but he made it on the radio with like only 1 or 2 songs and then dropped off the radio and I do not know why. The whole cd is awsome. My favoite song on the cd is Se Que Me Va A Dejar. I know you are going to leave me in english. He has a new cd out and my mom heard a song from his new cd but I have not heard anything on the radio so his new cd may not make a splash ethier. I want to bye his 1st cd. His 2nd cd and his 5th cd plus I want to get a greatest hit cd when he was singing with his group. I like the guy. Hes cool. But not as cool as Jerry Rivera. Hes my man. I recommend this cd.
Marco and his romantic songs 2002-11-11 Eventhough it is different from the Bukis in that he had different rhythms to experiment with, this new cd is still excellent. The lyrics and melodies that made Los Bukis famous are still there. Every song is an excellent song. He could pick any song to be radio-played and it would be a hit. It starts and ends with the best songs in the cd( Cuando te acuerdes de mi and Donde esta mi primavera). My favorite is Boca de Angel. 5 stars cd. I still would like another Buki album or a reunion of some sort.
More Marco - superb 2001-09-04 Expecting Marco Antonio Solis to improve on his megahit "Trozos de mi alma" would be somewhat akin to waiting for Prince to top "Purple Rain." Probably won't happen. So he does next best--gives his listeners more of what they loved in "Trozos . ." Solis' gentle delivery seems lightyears away from his Los Bukis days, and the public, at least here in Mexico, is absorbing it with gusto. "Boca de Angel" and "Mujeres Solitas" are every bit as compelling as the two REALLY big hits on "Trozos . ."--"Si no te hubieras ido" and "Sigue sin mi." The album seems to tell a story, and the lyrics are written on an attractive insert, good news for those of us who are more used to the clarity of Juan Gabriel's Spanish.
You're too young to sound like this, Marco. 2001-07-20 Solis remains as formidable a lyricist as ever, but remember when he was more than that? Before, he could be counted on to inject some musical drama, some bombast, some spice. That's what made songs like "Si Me Recuerdas," "Acepto Mi Derrota," and "Morenita" classics. Now all we get are musically indistinguishable ballads with intrusive, ever-present strings. My suggestion: Solis should try a Bernie Taupin/Elton John-type project where he does the lyrics and leaves the melody in the hands of someone with a totally different perspective, like Julieta Venegas. It would certainly produce something more interesting than the geriatric sounding easy-listening he's putting out now.
