We've always hated to trim hedges, but that might be because we never had our hands on Black & Decker's new Hedge Hog cordless trimmer. It's light, hungry, and powerful--and did we mention cordless? Its 14.4-volt battery will hold a charge for 40 minutes (who really wants to labor longer than that anyway?) and recharges in three hours. At a good clip, you can cover 1,000 square feet on a single charge. The rubber grips feel good in hand and cut vibration to nearly nothing. It weighs in at 6 pounds but feels lighter.
