  • Good, solid cradle 2005-08-16 Nanny Megan here, reviewing yet another thingy I use.

Mine is an older style, but the same basic thing.

Its good, and we love it. The baby sleeps in this now, intead of a swing, which is better for her back. We love it.
Keeping as a heirloom!! 2005-04-21 I received this as a gift from my mother. I was very impressed with the quality. I have used mine for both my boys and I am keeping it as a memory of those special times. It is very compact when broken down (we kept the original box). I'm hoping to pass it on as a family heirloom.
As for the question earlier of the weight limit, it is 16 pounds or three months. My instructions stated to stop using when the infant could push up on thier arms.
I hope this review was helpful. Wishing you many precious memories with your cradle.
Very nice piece of furniture 2004-05-19 I just assembled this myself, at 8 months pregnant with no help. It took me about 15 minutes. It looks great, and is bigger than I expected it to be. I can't wait to put my little guy in it!
Easy as pie... I promise! 2004-03-08 I recently recieved the cradle as a gift. I'm seven months pregnant and I was able to put it together by myself without any help. For anyone that had questions about the washers included in the package, you put the washer on the screw before tightening. It prevents the screw from damaging the wood. There should be exactly ten washers, and ten screws. Hope this helps anyone who was confused!!
Nice Cradle 2004-02-22 We're doing practically all of our baby product shopping online so we have to count on photos and reviews. I was a bit hesitant about buying this because I wasn't sure if I liked the railing design and because of the reviewer who said this was difficult to assemble. After giving my husband several options, he said he like the look of this the best, so I ordered it. Shipping was fast -- we received the cradle within the week. It is very attractive; the wood has a very solid feel. The bottom panel is particle board, though, but I think it is solid enough for the short duration (two to three months, depending on his growth) I plan to let our baby use the cradle. The bottom panel is further supported by a metal bar as a safety precaution. And I did not find it difficult to assemble. It took me roughly 15 minutes to assemble it. (I'm 8 months along -- my husband helped a bit by holding some pieces upright so it would be easier for me to screw the screws into place.) In fact, this was much easier to assemble than the Graco Pack 'N Play we recently purchased because the dumb Graco instructions only have pictures with no written descriptions! The rolling motion is smooth and the stoppers seem to be suffient. I did not give this 5 stars because (1) like one of the earlier reviewers, I found it a bit confusing that the cradle came with washers but the instructions did not mention their use (so we did not use them) and (2) I am troubled by the fact that no where on the instructions could I find the weight limit or instructions re when to stop using this for the baby. (I also checked the box for warnings.)
