  • "Investing well isn't easy, but it is possible. My goal in life is to make it easier for you to make money."

Jim Cramer is the champion of the middle-class investor. Every night on Mad Money, he provides valuable information about stocks, steering investors away from danger zones and leading them to the investments that can turn a lackluster portfolio into a powerhouse of profit. In his new book, he shows investors how to take the advice on his TV program and put it into action.

Cramer walks investors through the key decisions they have to make: understanding their tolerance for risk and defining their goals, doing the essential homework on a stock, and knowing how to buy and sell stocks the right way -- the Cramer way. This is a true nuts-and-bolts guide to investing, from Cramer's detailed discussion of the sort of homework investors must do to his own guidelines for knowing when and how to sell stocks.

Mad Money is a hugely entertaining television program, but it also offers valuable information that can be the basis for a winning portfolio. Cramer shows how to turn the "Lightning Round" into a terrific tool for investing; it's stock-market strength training. He reveals how he can assess a stock in only seconds -- a valuable skill that every investor can acquire and put to good use. He explains what to look for in his CEO and CFO interviews, and how to use those conversations to make successful investment decisions. He reviews some of his best calls made on Mad Money, as well as some of his worst ones, to extract ten lessons from each that can profit every investor. And for the Mad Money junkies who just can't get enough, Cramer goes behind the scenes to explain everything from the reason behind his deliberate mispronunciations to his notorious chair abuse to the zany props and buttons that keep things humming.

From the first "Booyah" to the last roar of the bull, Mad Money is every investor's favorite television program, and Jim Cramer's Mad Money is the book that can turn a TV program into a top-notch stock portfolio.

    Customer Reviews:
  • Booyah!
Been following Cramer for a year now. Read all the books including Watch TV, Get Rich. With Cramer's guidance and much homework on my own... currently up 18% YTD (nine positions). Do yourself a favor and get ALL of Cramer's books. Get excited about making some money in "The Market". I do not doubt Cramer's expertise. This man is a legend on Wall Street. Buy this book along with "Mad Money" and read them in order. Pay attention and take notes. The day will come when Cramer's books will be considered "The Bibles" of investing for the little guy.

  • Outright anihilation starts with this point of view.
TV is a distraction and an addiction - just as is the polarity of this reality fed by crap like this. Let's put the author on a polygraph and let me ask him questions.

  • Fan of Cramer, but sell short the mad money store
I just want to start out by saying I'm a huge fan of Cramer, and I loved all of his books. The reason I'm writing this review is to warn others about his mad money online store. I have never had a worse experience shopping online. I initially ordered a couple of the mad money bulls and a bobblehead to see how their service was. I was planning on ordering some more of the items to give as Christmas stocking stuffers for friends and family who are fans of the show. Boy am I glad I tested them out before doing this. My order arrived minus one bull and one bobblehead. I later received notice that the bobblehead would be shipped on January 15! How in this day and age, can it take so long to make a bunch of bobblehead dolls. Then about two weeks ago I called in to enquire about the missing bull that I was charged for and I was told it would be immediately shipped to me within 3 days. Well It's been two weeks and I have no bull and no bobblehead. What a cluster. Anyway, I'll still watch the shows and read the books, but I just wanted to warn everyone to stear clear of the mad money store. I know Cramer frequently reads Amazon reviews of his book, so hopefully he'll see this and inspire some changes at the mad money store.

  • For Jim fans
Jim inspires a lot of hate or adoration. The bottom line is, if you like his show, you'll enjoy the book. If you're looking for stock tips, watch his show. If you want a fun read by an interesting character, this is a great book. I read it in about 2 sittings, and really enjoyed it. Here's hoping he pens another one quick.

  • entertaining book
I enjoy listening to this man. He knows some great stories, and can certainly entertain me as I drive home. A lot of food for thought. That being said, I consider this book an enjoyable read. It was entertaining,
but not particularly helpful to me investment wise.
